Reflection and Looking Forward
As the upcoming year unfolds, it’s a natural time for introspection—a moment to reflect over the past year and to peer into the potential of the one before us.
2023
This year marked the 60th anniversary for the company. An open house was held in August and tours were given to the public.
Another accomplishment was with great leaps in our Multiswiss experience. We are well on our way to our 3-year picture of being “proficient as a CNC multi-spindle company”. This will help bring big opportunities for the company.
Other notable events in 2023 include;
Johns Retirement
John Belmonte has retired from Mitotec Precision after 42 years with the company. John has been an integral part of the organization, contributing not only his skills and expertise but also leaving an impact on the culture and legacy of the company. Mitotec Precision wishes him all the best in the well-earned leisure and adventures that await him in retirement.
Clinton’s Promotion
After several years of being the Engineering Manager and then CFO and Integrator, Clinton Pouillie has been promoted to CEO. He will continue to play a pivotal role in steering the company through challenges, making key decisions, and ensuring the financial health of the organization. Wishing Clinton success in his dual role and looking forward to the positive contributions he will undoubtedly make to the company’s future endeavors.
The addition of a Materials Manager
As the company continues to grow, our Senior leadership team decided it was time to have someone in charge of our materials and supply chain full time. Thankfully, we were able to add Kim Lenz as our new Materials Manager. She has taken over our schedule and purchasing department as well as handling our shipping companies. She has been a great addition to our team and will continue to do great things for Mitotec in the future.
2024
Coming October 2024….Mitotec will take delivery of a Rotary Transfer Machine.
The transfer machine is a hydraulic driven machine that will be a first of its kind for Mitotec Precision. It offers ball screw tech driven FORCE technology, making it more ridged and faster. It is similar to the multi swiss machines we carry, except it offers 16 stations. It will be the right choice for making baffles for our suppressor business. We currently create 8-10 pieces an hour, where with the transfer machine we will be able to make 60 pieces in that same time frame. Working with titanium will be a first for the machine, but all signs are pointing in the right direction that this will be the new wave of the future for Mitotec Precision.
In looking at the budget for 2024, we have an exciting year ahead of us. Since last year, our main target was on improving the facility with new floors and a better layout, this year there will be more focus on automation. The hopes will be to increase efficiency and improve product quality to allow for the growth in our future.
Mitotec University is still looking to hire a trainer so we can continue the build traction by organizing and building our curriculum. We want to continue to help our employees grow internally as well as offer learning assistance to local area high schools.
As another year unfolds, it often brings with it new experiences, challenges, and opportunities. Here’s to looking forward to a year of achievement and progress for the Mitotec Precision team.
